Grey violet watercolour powder

I used this for the first time the other day and was very impressed with the product. I sprinkled it onto a wet wash and watched it bloom with fascination. The colours are very strong and - as I found out very quickly - you only need the tiniest amount. I put far too much down at first and got rather a large crusty blob, which could have actually been a flower in a different painting! I need to find a small tool to use with these paints (I bought three altogether).
It would possibly be a good idea to have some sort of perforated lid on this … a bit like a pepper pot. Otherwise, am very happy, thanks.

Burst of color

Despite the "grey" in the title, this color is anything but dull. I put the crystals down, spritzed with a mister, and whalah! Instant texture, color, and interest. I imagine if I had mixed the colors together is would have been more grey violet (and that's not at all a problem for me), but I was DELIGHTED with the results of the untouched crystals in this colorway. I only bought 4 colors to try out and will be adding more for sure!

Beautiful pigment based crystal watercolours

This is the first pigment based crystalline watercolour I’d come across. I chose Grey Violet because of the dramatic splitting properties of the pigments and I am absolutely delighted with it! It’s a very versatile medium and gives really beautiful effects. There are some other great colours I have my eye on now and I look forward to seeing Jackmans expand this range.

Magical

I absolutely love these magic crystals, they are hypnotic to watch create wonderful colours and patterns on the page. It's really lovely having the mix of colours. I've used them to create my own illustrations with but I've also set up my sister and friends with an atomiser and brush and watercolour paper to let them play with it and they've found it hypnotic and calming and fulfilling too! So ideal for both artists and hobbyists. I've now just bought three more bottles to send to friends as gifts. Would love to see more in this range that use a mix of colours within one bottle.
