Andrew Geeson - Loose Watercolour Artist and Instructor

Artist Biography

Andrew Geeson began his artistic career as a highly detailed botanical artist and children’s book illustrator, which included collaborating with Enid Blyton’s daughter on the famous Noddy books. Although successful, the tight deadlines and constant demand for perfection left him searching for a freer, more expressive way to paint.

This pursuit led Andrew to discover his true passion: loose, impressionistic watercolour. Through years of dedicated experimentation, he developed his own signature approach to Loose Watercolour—creating vibrant paintings that capture the pure essence of a subject with spontaneity, energy, and joy.

Today, Andrew is a full-time professional artist travelling and painting throughout Europe while teaching others how to discover the freedom and fun of painting loose. His expressive work and inspiring teaching have built a thriving global community, including over 66,000 YouTube subscribers and 280,000 Facebook followers.
