Description:

Quinacridone Violet is a vibrant, intense watercolour made from the pigments P.R 122 (Quinacridone Magenta) and P.B 29 (Ultramarine Blue). This striking colour blends the vivid warmth of magenta with the deep, cool tones of ultramarine, resulting in a rich, radiant violet with a bold yet sophisticated presence.

The Quinacridone Magenta offers luminous transparency and high tinting strength, while the Ultramarine Blue adds depth and granulation, enhancing the dynamic texture of the paint. The resulting violet is highly versatile, perfect for adding bold accents, delicate florals, or atmospheric skies. Its glowing quality makes it ideal for layering and glazing, allowing artists to build up depth and complexity with ease.

Quinacridone Violet excels in creating smooth transitions between light and shadow, with an impressive range of intensity that can shift from bright, saturated violet to soft, dusky hues when diluted. Whether used for detailed work or expansive washes, this colour brings energy, elegance, and versatility to any palette.

Love this colour!

It's a luxury to not have to mix my own violet - with this rich pigment and thick flow, , it's just the decadent touch to add to a portrait!
