Desert Blue is an intriguing and multifaceted colour that combines the cool tranquillity of blue tones with the earthy warmth of natural oxides, creating a hue that evokes the mood of a desert under a clear, expansive sky.

• P.B 35 (Cerulean Blue) brings a fresh, airy quality to the mix, with its characteristic coolness and slightly opaque finish, reminiscent of wide open skies.
• P.R 101 (Transparent Red Oxide) introduces an earthy depth, balancing the cool blues with warm, rusty undertones, mimicking the reddish hues of desert sands.
• P.B 29 (Ultramarine Blue) deepens the blend with its rich, vivid blue that adds intensity and saturation, helping to create a sense of space and distance in landscape paintings.

The granulation creates a subtle interplay between the blue and the reddish undertones, giving the colour a shifting quality depending on the amount of water and layering used.
