Description:
Quinacridone Rose (P.V. 19) is a vibrant, cool-toned watercolour pigment with a rich, pinkish-red hue. Known for its brilliance and transparency, this pigment delivers a striking, luminous colour that is perfect for painting florals, sunsets, portraits, and atmospheric effects. Its cool, magenta undertone allows it to transition beautifully into purples and deep blues, making it a versatile addition to any watercolour palette.
Quinacridone Rose is highly transparent, allowing for smooth, even washes and delicate glazing without sacrificing intensity. In concentrated form, it provides a strong, vivid magenta, while diluted, it produces soft, rose-like pinks, ideal for creating delicate shading, glowing highlights, or subtle layers. Its fine texture ensures it blends smoothly with other pigments, forming vibrant purples with blues and bright, clean reds when mixed with warmer tones.
Praised for its excellent lightfastness, Quinacridone Rose (P.V. 19) maintains its brilliance and durability over time, ensuring that the artwork retains its vividness. Its bright, clean colour and adaptability make it a favourite for both bold, saturated compositions and soft, ethereal transitions. Artists rely on this pigment for its versatility, vibrancy, and ability to create glowing, luminous effects in watercolour paintings.
