Description

Perylene Black (Green) (P.Bk 31) is a rich, deep green watercolour pigment celebrated for its intensity and versatility. With its dark, slightly bluish-green hue, **Perylene Black (Green)** mirrors the depth and complexity of natural foliage and shadows. This makes it an excellent choice for landscape artists and botanical illustrators who require a sophisticated green pigment for both vibrant and subtle applications.

This **semi-transparent** pigment delivers smooth washes that range from bold, dark greens when applied at full strength to soft, ethereal glazes when diluted. The pigment's slightly cool undertone enhances its versatility, allowing it to mix beautifully with other colors, particularly yellows and blues, to create a wide array of rich, organic greens and shadowy tones.

When used at full strength, **Perylene Black (Green)** produces a striking depth that can be utilized to create dramatic contrasts in compositions. Its **granulating** properties further add texture and organic effects to your washes, making it ideal for capturing natural landscapes or creating dynamic abstract works. This pigment also boasts **excellent lightfastness**, ensuring that its vibrant hue remains stable and true over time.

**Perylene Black (Green)** is a must-have pigment for any artist seeking a sophisticated green tone. It provides a deep, earthy element to watercolour palettes, perfect for exploring the richness and complexity of green hues in a wide range of artistic compositions.

Beautiful green black

This is a lovely granulating soft green black, perfect for foliage shadows. Can also be mixed with reds for a great black, a real joy to use any Jackman's paints.

Shows Promise

It's early days yet and I am just really getting to grips with watercolour but I have used Perylene Green to good effect with acrylic and was tempted with this watercolour version. I have used it so far in a wash for a dull green background and mixed with Permanent Alizarin Crimson for a good solid black.
